How sad. The rap star is a jerk for not apologizing, and I'm glad the woman is standing up for herself and her baby.

I think there should be a ban on breeding pits. Let's face it, many people get them because of their background/history/folklore...and then they don't put the time and the effort into training them, socializing them, or maintaining them so they cannot get loose and terrorize someone in this manner. There has to be something done to hold people accountable for their pets and taking care of their pets. Either that or a major undertaking of changing how the breed is perceived by the masses.

That being said any dog can snap. I have a hundred pound black lab. Sweetest 11 year old male, smart as a whip, and the best "old man" I could have ever hoped for. One thing...he has a tendency to pick and choose which small dogs to like and which one's to grab in his mouth and toss in the air. He is fine with his pom (our Sarge), and he is fine with Teddie (My yorkie), but I had a neighbor who had a poodle and he grabbed and tossed the dog. No warning, no nothing. Needless to say I had a vet bill to pay and a ton of apologies to make. We know this about Balance so we keep him under control at all times. I wish all people knew their animals and treated them, and what they could do, with respect.
