I think the other poster meant keep doing what you're doing. At 8 months you pup is in the "teenage" phase. She's going to test the boundaries you have set for her to see how much you're going to give in. Don't change your commands at this point. Use what she's already learned. For example, you are leaving the room and you want her to stay. But she gets up and walks out. Calmly pick her up, place her back into the sit stay and slowly walk away. If she stays, praise her. If she even starts to get up, walk back to her to reinforce the sit stay command. If she's bugging you to play, and you dont want to just ignore her. She'll eventually get the message. But, do set aside some time for you two to play and another time to walk. A bored yorkie is a naughty yorkie.
