 Pixie Update 6/30/2011
We just got back from visiting with Pixie. They had put a cath tube in her neck and a feeding tube through her nose. She was just waking up and was not active at all. She looked so sad. It broke my heart to see her like that. The vet said that her numbers had came down a small bit today, but not much. She will drink water but will not eat the food they are trying to feed her. Hills ID, they tried to feed her Hills AD and she ate it, but then threw it up. They are hoping that if they can get some food in her stomach through the feeding tube it may help her to want to eat. They also are going to start more aggressive fluids. They said she is losing calcium, but do not know where it is going. They said so much my head is spinning. I can not understand how she could have got so sick so fast. I am still in shock! We are going back tomorrow evening to see her if she is still stable. Please keep her in your prayers, because we need a Miracle |
