I agree. I've also heard Shih Tzu's are veeery good companion dogs and are very laid back. My boss has 2 and says they're both big lap dogs. Their grandkids can pull on their ears and it doesn't phase them. Of course, it all depends on the personality of the individual dog, but I would recommend Shih Tzu, or one of the other small Chinese dog breeds.
