No his hair/fur will grow out different, not exactly a adult coat, but the puppy hair is gone... I had the same thing happen to me w/ my Gizmo, but it wasn't that bad just too short.. it will grow back wait about 1 month to see a real difference. My baby looks like a BIG boy..... good luck!
