Thanks for letting me join...I had been sneaking around as a guest and decided I wanted to be apart of this!

We got our first Yorkie, possibly yorkie mix on May 20th from our local animal shelter. He had been brought in a day before as a stray. My 15 year old Brussels mix had to be put to sleep on April 19th, and I was ready for a new little one to join our family with our other dog Shiloh (beagle mix)

We filled out a application the day after he arrived and was told he still had his 3 day waiting period for the owners to reclaim him, I figured I would have no chance but went ahead and filled out the papers anyways.

Turns, out no one ever called or came by to try to claim him so sad...So 1 week later after he was neutered we where allowed to put him up.

Its been almost 6 weeks and I could not be more happy! The shelter thought he was around 2 months, but the vet later said he was older, more like 4 months, so he is about 5 months now!
