I am so sorry. I will keep Pixie in my prayers. My Dixie had congenital kidney failure at 7 months. The nephrologist I took her to said he had many yorkies in his practice that were living good lives with kidney failure with treatment. He said that a dog can function with 25% kidney function. Sadly Dixie only had 17 %. Dixie's Bun was 490. So hopefully Pixie's can be treated and she will pull through. My heart goes out to you I know how devastating that news is. Please keep us posted.

They haven't said if it is congential or what. I dont even know how they determine that. I was totally floored when the Dr. called me yesterday and told me what was going on. Did Dixie have on going symptoms or was it sudden?
