Ok... I'm almost scared to ask this question... but here it goes

Oliver has horrible black knots on his feet.. his poor feet have been a struggle since I have rescued him. His paws are tender, yeast infections etc. However he has tons of black knots of hair that he licks constantly. Every groomer he has been to won't touch his feet because he is so tender. SOO my mom talked to her vet today and she suggested that we give him Acepromazine 10 mg and quarter it to calm him down to cut his paws. I just want to help my baby... but I'm scared to give him anything... but it was the vets advice... thoughts??
