I dogsit a Lab who went to one of these "boot camps" for 2 weeks and the owner now keeps a prong collar on him 24/7, pops the leash all the time, etc. Don't get me wrong, he walks better, but he doesn't seem all that more well behaved to me. I think if the owner put in more time with him, he'd be a much better dog.
I hope they are using positive reinforcement. But I am happy to hear they are doing well and can't wait to hear of their progress! |
This is not a boot camp, this is Kindergarten - College. I went to Boot Camp and I went to College, I can tell the difference.
