Whenever I put the harness on, I have treats in hand, and we begin to walk. I keep dropping treats and make him follow me, and try not to let them get distracted with the harness... squeaky toys help. As soon as he realizes he can do all the same stuff with the harness, and gets used to the feel of it, on he'll begin to ignore it.
Maybe try a break-away cat collar for the bells... |
