I understand everyone is upset because this girl is an idiot for letting her 2 lb girl get pregnant and then refusing a c-section for whatever reason, but I don't feel there's an honest comparison to this and natural childbirth. This dog needs a c-section. Not all dogs or women do, but those that choose no meds are rock stars in my book! |
I did the natural birth thing one time, that was enough for me. At my second delivery, the only person in the room I liked was the anesthesiologist and with my 3rd I started asking for an epidural at 32 weeks
I took her statement to be mean not so much anesthesia free child birth as telling a woman she has to go crawl in to a box and deliver a potentially too large child with no one present who was capable of immediately intervening in the event of an emergency.
Someone else expressed my fears earlier. I really am afraid that she's going to get lucky this time, decide that what she's doing is ok, and then repeat this cruel act.
I have a question for those who work or have worked in a vet office. Are vets required to report acts of animal cruelty to authorities the way doctors are required to report suspected child abuse cases?
