Teeth A Happy Ending

This doesn't really apply to Yorkies, but just wanted to share =)

Lately my house seems to be the place for people to drop off their unwanted dogs! A couple months ago a boxer was dropped off we fed her, cleaned her up, and was ready to take her to the vet on Monday, however when Monday rolled around she'd vanished just as quickly as she appeared.

Two pit bulls were recently dropped off and attacked my neighbors goats! eeeek, I can't say for sure what happened to these dogs, I haven't seen them again.

Yesterday a small black dog was just standing in my driveway, my mom panicked bc from a distance it looked a lot like Gabby! Thankfully Gabby was in the house barking her head off at the TV, so we knew it wasn't her. With a little dog food bribe, we got the dog to come to us (kind of looked like a poodle mix from closer up). To our horror this dog was nothing but bones, matted with mud, missing most of it's teeth, and it's ear was swollen almost completely shut! I was willing to keep the dog just to get it the medical attention it needed, but my other neighbor (the one without the goats) came down and although they also didn't need another dog, they packed it home in crate holding it out as far as possible because of the terrible smell! Yesterday evening I fought to keep the dog out of mind, figuring the vet would tell them the best thing for the dog would be to euthanize it. I guess that wasn't the case! This morning the dog is cleaned up and running around their yard like it just got a brand new set of legs! This just goes to show that all a homeless dog needs is a little TLC!

My fingers are crossed that this is the last unwanted puppy that finds it's way to my house! My heart is too big to let them go, I have to find them homes, before my neighbor agreed to take this dog, I had already made 3 phone calls trying to find it a home!
