Our local grocery store does not mind as long as she is in her carrier. Our drug store, CVS, has dog treats for dogs (we always keep her in a carrier there, too).

The only place we have ever not been welcomed was Target, and that exp was jarring - young lady screamed repeatedly at us; manager came and apologized but we were already pretty shaken by the scene she made.

It is nice when they are welcoming. I am finding out more and more. I guess they are more open to the smaller dogs that can be carried. And I understand that too.

I have heard numerous stories about Target. Don't think I will try there. Don't want to have to be bailed out of jail!
