I do not even allow my Yorkies to walk on the ground...they go in the stroller or I carry them...I know they are dogs, but in south Florida we have too many icky thinks at ground level..and I hate them in dirt...grass is not much better.

PS...I certainly would not walk on the sidewalk barefooted..
