Thank you guys for your comments. I have no idea what might be wrong with him, and like you mentioned I have also read through the possible issues that result in blepharitis and the list is too long to have any idea where the problem is originating from...

MaddiesMommie I think I will wait out the 10 days like you suggested. As you mentioned, it's the only way to "narrow" down the diagnosis by indicating the medication he has taken and hasn't worked. Teddy has not had a Schimer test done...the one thing that I think it might be is some type of seasonal allergies because he had no issues with mucus or anything during the winter months...it only developed starting spring...but what do I know? All I know, is that I'm on Day 4 on the medication and I see no difference in the red inflammation around the eye and it's just really upsetting The green-booger like mucus has gone down and now if any comes out it's whitish...but that's about it. The previous eye drops also got rid of the mucus but it was only a temporary solution because they just came back again and now with the red ring around the outside of his eye...

Then, if it works there is not need to see one and if it doesn't you can tell them what has been tried and didn't work. We had tried a few medications that failed before being referred to UT and this was helpful in better diagnosing a treatment for her.

As for the boogies going away, Maddie did this for about 2-3 years. I have pictures of her just last year where her eye was clear as a bell then, suddenly, mucus would return and I was back to cleaning it and lubricating it countless time a day.

I hope this ointment works for Teddy and you don't need to see a specialist but I would definitely seek and Optho if this does not work. Has Teddy had the Schimer test done? What were his ratings?
