My high risk dog underwent a dental in a specialty hospital with an anesthesiologist on site who consulted to create her protocol. There were no problems at all and it turns out the protocol they used was the same many vets use for small toy dogs for dentals (induction with propofol and maintenance with isoflurane). |
This is what I have heard also. It's more for the owner, not for the dog. It's not that cheap either.
