To me this is cruel and barbaric. She was not fighting for her life and once they could not anesthetize her, they, OF COURSE should have stopped the procedure and called you. To do an elective procedure on an unanesthetized dog is like vivesection to me! I would lodge complaints with every organization possible as this vet needs to be in another profession - one that does not involve living and breathing creatures. A vet with no better judgment than this should be judged for this kind of cruel behavior and have the scapel removed from his/her hand permanently. I would request my money back and a formal apology as well as an investigation into this unethical behavior.
