If you have your heart set on a girl then that's what you should do. My boy is very loving but my girls are loving too. The girls will come and sit on my lap and give me love and affection but when they want to. My boy is the only one who you can pick up and hold him like a baby or carry him around and he is just content to be with you. And it's not like the girls aren't but you can only carry them like babies when they are in the "mood". But I love all of mine and I see positives to each but more than that, each individual puppy has a special personality. They are all different. I certainly wouldn't pick a female who was extremely hyper or who was not happy to be with you or who had some other issue. But it is nice to dress up the girls.....
