My yorkie's top canine teeth never fell out when the adult ones came in. They are in line with the rest of his teeth, they moved to allow room. He gets plaque pretty bad on those teeth, in between them as well. We don't have $1000 to get both removed. I found out that my dog likes to chew on tooth brushes (new ones) and that helps get rid of most of the plaque. He also gets a greenie and a denta-stix daily. So we just give him a new toothbrush whenever the old one is totally frayed. So far it's working to keep the plaque at bay. I don't brush his teeth, we should but we don't. We should have started that early on but never did, so I doubt he'd be okay with starting now.

Good luck!
