One of my girls had to have a c-section. I gladly had her spayed at the same time. She tried to deliver her 2nd puppy but it was stuck and she ended up having a ruptured uterus. She is happy and healthy now.
I had another girl that was in labor about 1-1/2 year ago. She had had puppies before with no problem. She was in labor for about 45 minutes and I panicked so off to the vet's I go- 45 minutes away. I brought towels , scissors, clamps and even a heated corn bag in case she started to deliver. Well, 5 miles out of town I had to pull over. Yep, she started delivering! I cleaned her up a bit and back home I went and she ended up having 5 puppies total with no problem. |
