Petsmart does have an obligation to monitor their expiration dates on stock on the shelves, same as human grocery market.
How was you daughter storing the food at home? Was the bag inside the house and was it sealed tightly? If so, I would contact Wellness. |
I think the food was close to the expiration date when she purchased it. I don't think she's ever checked the expiration date when she's purchased food, but she will now. Yesterday when I looked at the same food, most of the bags had an expiration date of at least a year.
PetsMart did offer her a gift card and something else, not sure now what but they are trying to make amends.
The food was in the house and I hope it was tightly sealed. She's pretty picky when it comes to her babies. I think she should contact Wellness. She's still trying to get beyond the fact that she had been feeding it to her dogs.
