Hi and welcome to YT. I recently got a new puppy less than 2 weeks ago
myself and already have 2 older yorkies here. It was over 7 yrs since I had a puppy in the house and you forget sometimes how overwhelming that can be. It really helps if your hubby is in your court as there will be sleepless nights, piddles to step in and all the other fun things that come with the new baby in the house. I LOVE it personally but totally understand the amount of work at first for someone not really keen on the idea. I also have parrots, 1 african grey, a dyh Amazon, a sun conure, a hahns macaw and a parrotlet! It takes constant close supervision for both dogs and birds at all times, those beaks could take an eye out or break a bone with no problem! I hope with all my heart that you get a healthy puppy from a responsible breeder like I did.
My hubby wasnt keen on dogs but loves these girls and cares for them as much as I do, as a matter of fact our one girl Abbey is HIS baby.. Good luck and do keep us posted!
