heats vary in each gal some heat as early as 6 months some won't heat for a year or so, as far as recouping from the spaying I would delay any strenious activity about 2-3 weeks. She may be healed from the out side but it takes time to heal the inside.

Also I would suggest before attending this class or any other have the vet give her a bordetella shot, two weeks after the surgery and repeat a month later. Once totally immunized then take her.
