Princess still does this at a 1 1/2 yrs. We use 2 entrance doors, one less frequently where the mailboxes are. On the side of that door are those little windows that go on the sides of the doorway. She barks like crazy at it, day or night she can still see herself. When we're outside she'll be walking fine then catch a glimpse & jump back a foot like "oh, shoot!", barking like a maniac.
