I hope I didn't just give the wrong thing!

99% positive Jackson got stung outside just now. Was sitting out by fire (not lit), he was on leash, laid down in sand and then jumped up real quickly as if he had been stung... he started acting the same way that my dads dog did when stung, he was biting at his back foot alot and doing circles dragging the foot like it hurt him.

Stepdad gave me the Benadryl I asked for, as the vet told us to always keep it on hand, I gave him half the pill...

I read it should be given 1mg per lb of body weight so Jackson is 16lbs.

THis little packet says "Benadryl Maximum Strength Severe Allergy plus Sinus headache" and it says Acetainophen 325mg, diphenhydramine 25mg, and phenylepine(can't read word, sp??) HCI 5mg per caplet.

I gave him half the pill... so it would be 15mg of diphenhydramine... but what about the other 2 ingredients?! Did I just give him the wrong thing... so scared I just did something wrong, I never give him meds like this???
