My Cricket was a little con artist w pee pees. She would come get me as if she peed on her pad but there would be nothing on the pad. I would just laugh and say "you spoofed" and walk away w/o any treat. She would only get a treat if there was potty on the pad. I didn't scold her or anything, just no reward. As she got older, she would think it was funny when she did it. I would look, nothing there, say "you spoofed", and she would take off running away like "haha!"
