It's a sleeper ride. We'd depart at dinner time, get served dinner on the ferry. Sleep in the cabin overnight and arrive about 7-8am in the morning...so I'm guessing 11-12 hours. Which is the about the same time it takes to get from Aberdeen to Lerwick, Shetland Isles. Until my first visit, I never realized just how far north the Shetland Isles are of mainland Scotland.
My problem is, every time I travel, its to visit people, and while we do some sightseeing/touristy things, I love to go back to all the places I've been and just be a tourist. I'd also love to travel around the States! My family from Europe have seen more of America than I have living here. I've never been to Florida, or Washington DC, or the Grand Canyon. I can count the number of states I've been to one hand
