  good point.  boys seem to be the same regardless of the species. by themselves they're fine, but throw a girl into the mix and they start thinking with their "other" brain LOL.  definitely wouldn't hurt to consider "brain surgery" for them before you introduce a female to the pack.  As for your male vs. female question, it just depends on the personalities of your current kids.  I've got one of each.  I had Soph first, for nearly six years before we got Gulliver.  Knowing her, I knew our new baby would have to be a male because she would never tolerate another female in the house, at least not for her first sibling.  Some dogs it's better to stick to same sex, and others get along with everyone so it wouldn't matter.  You know your boys best so you'll know whether they need a brother or a sister.
