So sorry for your loss. I lost my little one earlier this year and felt the loss so deeply I did not think I would ever want another one. A few days after I had to let Poppy go (she died from renal failure) I met a lady at the outdoor mall in town. She had a little Yorkie puppy. I went to say hi and learned that she had lost her little baby a few weeks earlier. She told me that the only thing that helped her grief was to get another puppy. I admit, I thought she was crazy - I could never replace Poppy, she was the best dog ever!
After a few months of coming home to an empty house, I realized I too needed to get another canine kid. These little guys are such a part of your everyday life that when they are gone you feel a deep loss. Some of my friends got it, others...well, they do not know what they are missing. It has helped with the healing and grief.
Look forward to seeing your new Yorkie when you get him/her! |
