I’m so worried. I need some expert advice please.

Ginger was diagnosed with HGE on Tuesday after a case of loose stools, diarrhea and finally blood in her stool. They ran blood work and diagnosed the HGE. They treated her with a shot, some meds(pills) and gave her some liquids under her skin. The meds were to stop the diarrhea and to stop vomiting. They only time she threw up was when the vet examined her the first time. (I think she was nervous. ) She came home with me Tuesday night. No issues to speak of.

Wed. morning I dropped her at the vet so they could feed her – she fasted all day Tuesday. They wanted to observe her, feed her, etc. for the day. They fed her some canned prescription bland food. They called said she was eating well and acting fine. I thought her issues were resolved.


So I picked her up Wed. pm and she’s home. Acting normally, no more diarrhea, eats the canned food without any problems. BUT she has not had a bowel movement since Tuesday with all the diarrhea.
When I got home from work tonight I took her for a long, long walk. Nothing, Notta. I plan to call the vet in the morning as they are closed now.

What do you think? Should I be concerned? Why hasn’t she pooped? I just want to stop all the worrying? Advice anyone? Could she really just be that empty? She has almost eaten one can of dog food since I have had her home. She has been eating morning and night feedings. So she has one can of food in her and water. Nothing else.
