I used to think people who were so ga-ga over their dogs or cats were nuts. I really did. I used to roll my eyes when one of my friends would talk about their pet as if it were a person.
I never imagined that I would fall in love with my little Roxie the way I have. Never thought I would talk about her all the time, take more pictures of her than most people do of their children, or even send out holiday cards with her picture on it!
My entire outlook on dogs, and pets in general, has changed dramatically over the last 18 months. Now I know that pets can be family.
