My little Cricket had bilateral LP. We got stairs for her so she did not jump on/off furniture. We also watched how long walks were and watched her weight over the years. Later in her life, vet prescribed Glucosamine chondroitin which seemed to help her. She never required surgery. I was just always overprotective of her joints. Hope this helps!
