we got bella done after about 9 months, i really wanted to grow her hair long but it ended up getting mattered and i got it all shaved off! she looked like a totally different dog haha, it grows so fast, i just say its up to you, if you want it long you can just leave it grow but if not id say about 8/9 months old, thhats my opinion im not sure what other people might say lol im new to having a yorkie bella has only had the one haircut shes 1 on the 2nd july
