I think it is a big picture kind of deal with carbonated drinks. Not only is it the carbonation, but my dr. tells me caffiene also depletes calcium from your bones among other issues with it, and artificial sweeter if it's a diet drink. So her big push was to quit caffinated drinks. For me, that includes my pop of choice. She was not concerned about the artificial sweetner and told me crystal light was the better of the two evils. My logical thinking is however, if I am going to give up a habit why trade it for another one?

For now, I hear greet tea is good for you. So, I am considering unsweetened green tea. How boring is that? No fizz, no spunk, and not sweet!
