Either the OP just got very upset to see the pup having a problem with her leg OR there was something else going on. At least that is what I believe....I suppose there is a first time for everything.

As for LP getting worse, actually it does not have to be so. I have had many pups stay at a certain grade for long periods of time and never need any type of treatment. One must keep the pup's weight within normal guidelines and prevent him/her from jumping on and off of furnitured. Those things will help to preserve the knee and prevent the LP from getting worse.
Thank you for clarifying that. I was thinking in terms of a dog whose LP is bad enough to have an episode like this or to hinder mobility is at risk for injury.
