I have no idea what happened here; but I have pups with LP and have had many others in the past. None of them has become incapable of standing up due to LP.

Either the OP just got very upset to see the pup having a problem with her leg OR there was something else going on. At least that is what I believe....I suppose there is a first time for everything.

As for LP getting worse, actually it does not have to be so. I have had many pups stay at a certain grade for long periods of time and never need any type of treatment. One must keep the pup's weight within normal guidelines and prevent him/her from jumping on and off of furnitured. Those things will help to preserve the knee and prevent the LP from getting worse.
