I just got it for Princess for the first time earlier this month. I started going to my mom's vet & he recommended it. I was just going to do the one month VS. the six month because I was a little worried about trying something new. He assured me that it is safe, he'd never seen either adverse reactions or heartworm +. I do trust him as my mom's been using him for over 20 years & she's never had any problems at all.
Princess was a little itchy for about 2 days after but it could've been from her parvo/distemper as well.
I can't find my invoice but I know the price was a little less than one months supply of Interceptor. He also sold me Frontline ($20-seems expensive), but he said I'd only need to repeat it in August if I wanted.
