Raw hides are off limits at our house. Steach our little dachshund almost died after chewing one till it was soft and swallowing it hole. I was cooking dinner looked down at him and saw he was in distress. He was taking both front paws clawing at his mouth and his little yes were bulging. I grabbed him and looked in his mouth and way in the back I saw something so I stuck my fingers way down and pulled out the entire raw hide that had unfolded and was stuck in his throat. He actually gasped for air when I got it out. It was so nasty never again I don't buy any kind!
