The problem is like someone else said that his hair is layered as it grows out- yorkies with the long hair are only scissor cut, no clipper is used on the body. So it would take quite awhile to grow his hair all one length and at that point it would start to lay flatter probably- but you wouldn't know until that point. Chloe has a cottony coat and it never lays flat, I let it get very long and we just couldn't get it to lay flat so now we chopped it into layers.
