That sounds like the perfect solution, but i would staill stay out there with them.
We don't have hawks here, and if we did, they would struggle to pick up my little teapot, but i never leave my dogs out in the garden on their own for more than a couple of minutes.
We have a 5 foot fence, but i'm always worried someone might jump over it and steal the dogs!
There are some very sad stories on here about dogs that have gone missing from fenced yards/gardens...i wouldnt risk it.
