I seem to have a love/hate relationship with this thread & similar stories I read. If I'm feeling the slightest bit down already I will not even attempt to read it. And if I'm in too good of a mood I don't want to ruin it.
But I feel compelled to learn about these issues, maybe there is
something I can do-even if it's only on a personal level. I just wish I could block all of the pictures from any article I'm reading. I don't need the visual, the words are enough, and the pics get burned into my mind forever.
After hearing about the elephant/circus issues I researched these issues all I could & made the mistake of looking at some of PETA's undercover videos (extreme, I know, but still fact). While it did educate me I literally felt ill for weeks+ after seeing it. It was like 8-10 yrs. ago & I still think of it. So I had to decide that for me it is just too much. It's just so frustrating to me that so many people condone this behavior that is so wrong. Not only the people committing the acts, but those that believe humans are the almighty, inferior being that can do whatever the hell we want.
