So true! my baby is also litterbox/paper trained (paper in the littlerbox) and it work so well. When we are out visiting friends, we just put newspaper down for her and that's where she would go.
We still go outside though but just for walks. She loves the great outdoors. She just won't do her business outside. It could get very cold here to go outside sometimes and I am glad she doesn't have to.
