Good for you. I think now that you've mentioned it to her, you can kind of ease into the "well I felt this feeding schedule may benefit him a little bc he seems tired or burned out compared to the other pups", etc.
I still think you should contact the vet though, you still have a long time with him. He is a total cutie btw
