People do tend to be very cliquish at dog parks- very weird. Many of the people tend to go every day. The dog parks around here are both about 30 minutes away- so I only get there a few times a month- so I always feel like an outsider. I try to go with someone else- my parents have two toy poodles, so usually I will convince them to go with me and we will just kind of hang out ourselves with our dogs. I haven't been in a long time, seems like a lot of uneducated dog owners frequent them which always leads to issues.
