That is a really tough one.. But, she is going to be at your mom's and have other dogs to keep her company. It is not going to be too long either, so I think it will be ok. She is going to be in a crate for sleeping, I agree that something with your scent on it will help her at night. Nightime will probably be the most difficult for the both of you. However, she will adjust. Your able to trust your mother, so I think this will be fine. Sometimes we have to make very tough decisions as pet owners.
