Is three anyway the dog could live at the child's mother's home? In the picture, it looks like the 14 yr old really loves this dog. I thinkI would try very hard to keep this dog in the family somehow, for the sake of this child. She is old enough to help care for the dog and lloks very attatched to the dog. After having her for 4 yrs , that is a longtime . I could not imangine letting go my dog , I have had her just over 3 yrs now. Would this break your grand daughters heart?
A rescue is the best choice though. They are very careful where the dog will go to , and screen them well. I just think it is sad to have to give up this dog after having her for so long. I know I could not do that.
