There is nothing wrong with bows in boys' hair. They wear them at dog shows.
I use little scrunchies in my boys' hair and people have thought the Yorkie signature red is girlish.
Many people assume my boys are girls even when they are wearing simple black bands in their hair and black harnesses/leashes.
Do what you want to do and laugh off the comments from other people.
