I HAVE heard that excuse! And it seems to make sense until you highlight the distinction that you've made here. The "why" for the "how" was, I think, what was missing for me! Acquiring a CH. dog through the back door is like picking up a scalpel and, with little or no medical training, expecting to perform heart surgery! It's not the scalpel's fault when the results are disastrous... Or even sub-par. It's the unwise hand that dared to use it!

Sorry, but that analogy helped me to see your point, so I thought I'd share, lol! And thank you!
