There is a sticky at the top of the gift exchange thread - that will give you all the rules and legal "stuff"
But my version... we sign up, get a secret buddy. Then we "research" and prepare a box of gifts. A lot of people make special things (blankets clothes ect) and/ or shop!! You have to look at some of the "smileboxes -- pictures in the thank you thread" to see how much time, energy and yes.... money goes into some of the boxes. I think the rules say $25.00... but most boxes have a value of $100.00 and up.. some way up. Now remember many people sew or have craft skills so the value would be in money, time and energy.
Now.. while you are doing your box someone has your name and they are doing the same.
We all post "clues" for our sb... and try to find the person who has our name.
At the end of the month we mail our boxes... make thank you smileboxes and wait for the next ge
I have been in the GE twice.. I have been so lucky to have the very best sb!!! Of course I can't wait for the next one
