This lump could be from either the shot OR the microchip. I have heard that microchips can migrate so maybe its that. One of my babies has a lump on his back still from his first rabies shot vaccination. He is 2and a half years old. It is about the size of a dime and does not cause him any pain at all. I took him in to the vet to get this checked out to see if it could have been anything cancerous, but they said at his young age it is not likely. They told me to watch it and if it gets any bigger to bring him in. It has been the same size ever since. A lump from a vaccine is also a definite possibility of what your pup is experiencing. It is not dangerous and is just a ball of tissue.
